Judging Criteria

All cocktails will be scored out of 100 points.

0
Creativity and Originality

This is the only sparkling competition of its kind in Canada. Be bold and think differently.

0
Intelligent Use of Mionetto

This portion of judging criteria is key. Mionetto needs to shine through and be the true inspiration for your cocktail. You can use any spirit of your choosing for this cocktail but make sure Mionetto comes first. You can have the best whisky in your cocktail but if Mionetto is an afterthought your score will reflect that.

0
Presentation and Appearance

The judges won’t have the ability to taste your cocktail as they would in normal competitions. Therefore, the overall appearance and how your cocktail is presented will be a large factor on how they will score.

0
Creativity, Relevance and Appeal of Recipe Name

Think orange, Think Bubbly, Think Mionetto. How will your cocktail shine through amongst all the submissions while making Mionetto the star?

Tips and Tricks

Ensure Mionetto is the star of the show. The inspiration for your cocktail should embody Mionetto. Look to incorporate Orange, the Prosecco Terroir, Italian Heritage and Italian Style.

All videos must be 2 minutes maximum. These videos will be featured on the @MionettoCanada IGTV page. Ensure your video is taken portrait (vertical) format on your cell phone.

THE VIDEO IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE JUDGES. THERE IS FLEXIBILITY ON HOW THIS VIDEO IS PRESENTED. ULTIMATELY, THE JUDGES WILL WANT TO KNOW:

HOW YOU MADE YOUR COCKTAIL?

WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION FOR THE COCKTAIL?

HOW YOU INCORPORATED MIONETTO?

THIS IS A CONDENSED VERSION OF THE WRITTEN DESCRIPTION TO FIT THE TWO-MINUTE MAXIMUM. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BARTENDER IS MAKING THEIR COCKTAIL FOR THEIR VIDEO SUBMISSION AS THIS WILL SHOW THE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY OF MAKING THEIR COCKTAIL.
