Max's Cocktail Recipe

A crisp, effervescent, effortless cocktail for those easy summer days.

1oz Tanqueray 10 gin
.75oz Rhubarb liqueur
.5oz Freshly squeezed lime
.5oz Simple syrup
4oz Mionetto Prosecco Rosé (or Mionetto Treviso Brut)
1 x Orange peel (garnish)

Add all ingredients into a shaker tin (except for Mionetto Prosecco and Orange peel),

Shake vigourusly for 10 seconds,

Double strain into a coupe glass,

Top with Mionetto Prosecco Rosé and garnish with an orange peel.

Note: the recipe was designed to compliment both the Mionetto Treviso Brut and the Mionetto Prosecco Rosé. I have chosen to use the Rosé as I believe it adds a deeper complexity, while keeping the cocktail slightly more dry for those warmer days.

What inspired the drink?

My inspiration came from those hot summer days while living in Australia. I wanted to create something light, efgortless and thirst quenching that is also visually appealing. I wanted the Mionetto Rosé to be the base of my cocktail for that hint of dryness and elegant colour. The other ingredients were carefully selected to compliment the Rosé, keeping the cocktail nice and light without overpowering the main ingredient.

And finally, the name. "Garden Party".

What's more elegant, effortless and easy than a garden party. A name to embody the inspiration for this cocktail.
