Alex's Cocktail Recipe

2 oz Mionetto
1 oz Dillons Rose Gin
1 oz Pineapple Yuzu Cardamom Puree
0.75 Lemon
0.75 Grapefruit Infused Honey ( Grapefruit peels lightly simmered in a 3:1 Honey/Water)
3 Dashes Dillons Orange Bitters

What inspired the drink?

My inspiration for the 2021 Mionetto Cocktail competition comes from the re-opening of restaurant's in Ontario leading to good times, good ingredients, and even better friends. Mati aims to deliver a world class bar and cocktail program allowing no limitations on the development, innovation, and longevity of cocktails.

Mionetto Prosecco originates from the heart of the Prosecco region in the northern part of Venice, Italy. The dual fermentation process that Mionetto Prosecco undergoes, allows for better preservation of flavors and aromas in the bottle.

The use of Dillon's Rose Gin accompanied by Pineapple Yuzu Cardamom, fresh lemon, and grapefruit honey provides a diverse, sweet and floral taste. Additionally, Dillon's Orange Bitters compliments the cocktails' ingredients giving a pop to the finished product.

It is then topped up with the internationally renowned Mionetto Prosecco.
