What inspired the drink?

My inspiration for this cocktail came from the hard-working and generous people of Long Island New York. The largest, congregation of Italian immigrants in the world long island will always be a place I hold dear in my heart from my times travelling around New York. They welcome you into their homes and treat you like family. Mionetto prosecco embodies what it means to be a family, to be passionate about your heritage and where you come from and I couldn’t think of anybody who embodies this more than the people Of Long Island.
The vermouth provides a complexity of flavours that you would find from the blend of spirits in a Long Island iced tea. The combination of roasted blood orange and citrus plus a specific spice blend gives note to the nostalgic Coca-Cola when mixed with the Amaro Montenegro. Dillons Orange Bitters gives a back bone of bitter orange and finally the Mionetto ties it all together with its delicate mousse and floral character.
